HCW Wrestling Newsletter – January 25, 2025

The show opened with an intense promo from the unhinged Cara Loco, vowing revenge against the Dark Dominion and declaring chaos upon the HCW roster.

Backstage: Hardcore Champion Mr. X confronted GM Max McGillicutty, angry about not main-eventing. Meanwhile, investigator Gardinia Blue revealed Count Vlad’s mole network was exposed, but a new threat looms as he gathers more allies.

Match 1: Hardcore Title Match – Mr. X (c) vs. Outback Oscar
Outback Oscar overcame a brutal steel cage match, defeating Mr. X with the Outback Stretch, to an explosive crowd reaction. However, his celebration was short-lived as The Yeti, flanked by Count Vlad, cashed in his title contract.

Match 2: Hardcore Title Match – Outback Oscar (c) vs. The Yeti w/ Count Vlad
Despite a valiant effort from Oscar, The Yeti's power proved too much. The match ended with The Yeti forcing Oscar to submit to a bearhug, claiming the Hardcore Championship. Count Vlad declared dominance, cementing the Dark Dominion’s reign of terror.

Match 3: Jax Brenner w/ Molly Mason vs. Jesse California
The Alaskan Wildman, Jax Brenner, made short work of Jesse California, delivering powerful strikes and finishing with a body slam to secure the victory.

Match 4: Cara Loco vs. Doofus Covfefe
Cara Loco dominated the comical Doofus Covfefe, showcasing his destructive intent. The crowd was firmly behind the returning Cara Loco, who secured a decisive victory with a running crossbody.

Match 5: La Famiglia Marconi vs. The New Sicilians w/ Pierre Boulay

The event kicked off with Count Vlad introducing the Yeti as the newest member of the Dark Dominion. The Yeti dominated three back-to-back matches, defeating Waldo Winchester, Doofus Covfefe, and ‘Lightning’ Ethan Hayes to establish his dominance and secure a Hardcore Championship opportunity. His alliance with Count Vlad promises further chaos for HCW.

In other matches:

  • Dominic Marconi faced Owen Zestwell, but the latter walked out after spotting a mysterious fan at ringside, leaving Marconi to win by count-out.
  • Col. Samuel Flagg defeated Noah ‘High Flyer’ Murphy in a heated match, earning a shot at Zack ‘Commando’ Brown’s U.S. title.
  • Outback Oscar won a grueling Hardcore Title match against Mr. X, only to be ambushed by Yeti, who cashed in his title shot and defeated Oscar to become the new Hardcore Champion.
