HCW WARZONE PPV – DARKNESS RISING SUMMARY
HCW Warzone kicked off with General Manager Max McGillicutty welcoming the fans to a night of chaos and high-stakes battles. With the Dark Dominion dubbing the event “Darkness Rising,” tensions were at an all-time high. Count Vlad wasted no time asserting his faction’s dominance, warning HCW that the shadows were closing in.
Match #1: The Nightstalkers & Azrael (Dark Dominion) vs. The Snake Pit (HCW)
A brutal six-man tag match opened the night, with the Nightstalkers and Azrael securing a hard-fought victory over the Snake Pit after Azrael speared Niven Snake for the pin. Post-match, the Snake Pit retaliated, attacking with steel chairs and forcing the Dark Dominion to retreat.
Match #2: Beastfang & ‘Timberfang’ Jack Lumber vs. The Sons of Anarchy
Timberfang and Beastfang looked dominant early on, but the Sons of Anarchy refused to back down. Just when it seemed Jack Lumber would overpower his opponents, a mystery attacker emerged from the crowd, leveling Jack and costing him the match via count-out. The attacker was revealed as The Wicked Prophet, making his return to HCW by sending a violent message to the Dark Dominion.
Match #3: The New Sicilians & Salvatore Albano vs. Dominic & Rolf Marconi & Lou Albano III
This was an all-out family war, with betrayal and bad blood fueling the action. Pierre Boulay was accidentally taken out by a chair shot meant for Lou III, leading to Rolf Marconi submitting Vinnie Albano with a Front Face Lock for the win. The Marconi family stood tall while the Sicilians retreated in frustration.
Match #4: Heritage Tag Team Championship – The Fangs of Despair (c) vs. The Dynamic Duo
The Dynamic Duo gave it their all, but Count Vlad’s interference kept the champions in control. Nightfang ultimately secured the victory with a Vampire Lunge, allowing the Fangs of Despair to retain the Heritage Tag Team Titles.
Match #5: Selena Blackfang & Korbi Kong vs. Ashley Summers & Luciana Albano
A rare uneasy alliance between Summers and Albano quickly fell apart as Selena pinned Ashley after a Cradle DDT. The loss ignited a post-match brawl between Ashley and Luciana, signaling that their partnership was officially over.
Match #6: The Yeti vs. Jax Brenner (Non-Title)
Fueled by personal vengeance, Jax Brenner tore into The Yeti, seeking retribution for the stolen childhood blanket of his sister. Despite Yeti’s brutal offense, Jax overpowered the monster with a Bodyslam and scored a decisive victory.
Match #7: Title vs. Career – Evan Stockwell (c) vs. The Banker
With The Banker’s career on the line, he gave Stockwell a war to remember. Bloodied and battered, both men fought with desperation. Ultimately, Stockwell locked in the Hostile Takeover, forcing The Banker to submit. With that, The Banker’s HCW career came to an end. He saluted the crowd one last time before disappearing into the shadows.
Main Event: HCW World Championship – The Rich Athlete (c) vs. The Morningstar
In a No DQ war, The Rich Athlete had to survive Count Vlad’s mind games and Morningstar’s ruthless aggression. Despite multiple Muta Locks and near falls, Rich secured the win by using the tights for leverage on the final pin.
Just as The Million Dollar Alliance celebrated their victory, the lights went out. When they returned, a mysterious, towering figure stood in the ring and obliterated everyone in sight. The show ended with this unknown monster standing dominant, signaling a new force has arrived in HCW.
Final Thoughts:
HCW Warzone: Darkness Rising was a night of shocking betrayals, brutal warfare, and unanswered questions. With The Wicked Prophet returning, Jax Brenner’s personal war with Yeti, and the emergence of a monstrous new figure, the landscape of HCW is about to change forever.
