HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2025 #1085 – 4/6
The night kicked off with a backstage interview featuring Hardcore Champion Mr. X. His arrogance and cutting words set the stage for his later match, promising chaos as he prepared to face the Alaskan Wildman, Jax Brenner.
In the opening match, Kurse the Death Dealer faced Jesse California. Jesse showcased incredible resilience and agility, nearly pulling off an upset. However, Kurse's methodical brutality proved too much, and he emerged victorious with his signature Upside Down DDT. The eerie aura of Kurse left fans unnerved as he vanished into darkness post-match.
Next, fans were treated to a chilling segment from Count Vlad and Talia Nocturne. Vlad’s manipulative charm paired with Talia's erratic behavior hinted at dark plans brewing within the Dominion.
In the Hardcore title match, Mr. X defended his championship against Jax Brenner. Although Jax fought valiantly, he was distracted by the ominous presence of The Yeti, who appeared at a critical moment, costing Jax the victory. Mr. X seized the moment to retain his title, but tensions with Morningstar from the Dark Dominion hinted at future confrontations.
Talia Nocturne battled Starla Nova in a match laced with interference and eerie theatrics. Despite Starla’s spirited efforts, Talia capitalized on Count Vlad’s distraction and secured a victory. Talia’s unsettling behavior post-match, including her obsession with Black Mass, added an eerie twist.
The main event saw chaos in the Men’s Battle Royal, with competitors battling for a chance at the HCW World Championship contract. Lou Albano III emerged victorious after eliminating Tommy Sullivan. However, his celebration was short-lived as Tony and Sal Albano ambushed him, shredding the contract and leaving him bloodied. This betrayal set the stage for what promises to be an intense storyline.
